What You Will Learn
During your PADI Deep Diver course, you'll go beyond simply looking at deep sites. You will learn how to:
- Plan and Organize: Learn the specific planning, organization, and procedures for safe deep diving.
- Recognize and Manage: Understand the effects of pressure and nitrogen narcosis, and how to manage them.
- Gas Management: Practice special considerations for managing your gas supply at depth.
- Safety First: Develop techniques for controlled descents, ascents, and emergency procedures.
- Equipment: Learn about the specialized equipment for deep diving, such as dive computers and backup air sources.
Prerequisites and Requirements
To enroll in the PADI Deep Diver course, you must:
- Be a PADI Adventure Diver or have a higher-level certification (or an equivalent from another training organization).
- Be at least 15 years old.
- If you've already completed the Deep Adventure Dive as part of your Advanced Open Water course, that counts as your first dive of this specialty!
